For over 50 years, Pastor Boyd Young has faithfully answered the call to preach and is now honored to serve as the head pastor of Life Church Adams. Throughout his ministry, he has played a pivotal role in planting and pastoring numerous churches, helping to lay the foundation for a strong and vibrant Christian community.
A devoted husband for 54 years to his beautiful bride, Glenda Young, he is also the proud father of three children: Matt Young, Amy Swayne, and Alisha Porter. All three children serve the Lord in ministry, a testament to the faith and love that define his family.
Beyond his work in the church, Pastor Boyd Young has a deep passion for missions and has traveled to many countries around the world, spreading the gospel and uplifting communities in need. His heart for global outreach is central to his ministry, as he believes in the power of the gospel to transform lives across cultures and borders.
As head pastor of Life Church Adams, his vision is clear: to create a church that is not only a spiritual home but also a strong beacon of outreach within the community. Alisha Porter, born and raised in Adams County, has a lifelong passion for singing, having performed with her family and served in her church from a young age. As a mother of two wonderful children, she cherishes the time she spends with them.
With a degree in special education, Alisha has devoted the past 20 years to working in the local school district. Her love for worship and her deep faith are central to her life, as she finds joy in singing and praising her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
